Why do implant dentures cost less

Costing a fraction of the price of All-on-4 dental implants, implant-supported dentures are more affordable because they use only 2-3 dental implants, are removable, and cannot be immediately loaded, which significantly lowers costs compared to Teeth in a Day procedures.

Our implant dentures cost significantly less because fewer implants are used—we never compromise on quality. Patients can still expect the best brands, such as Straumann, for their restorations. Question? Email us at hello@myodental.co.uk.

Are there any additional fees you might come across?

With any dental implant treatment, you’ll need to meet with an implant dentist beforehand, like Dr Rifai, who has to pass your suitability for treatment. To do this, Dr Rifai will take a CBCT scan to assess your underlying bone and examine whether it’s sufficient to withstand and support dental implant treatment. A dental implant consultation with Dr Rifai at our Surrey clinic costs £150.

If Dr Rifai finds you do not have enough bone to be an immediate candidate for implant placement, he will likely recommend a bone graft (or a sinus lift in the upper jaw) to build up bone in the area that’s depleted to ensure your treatment will be a success.

Pre-implant procedures like this will lengthen your treatment timeline and incur additional costs. Dental bone grafts with Dr Rifai cost from £550, sinus lifts cost from £550 to £1,500.

How does the cost compare to regular dentures?

Conventional dentures at our Surrey clinic cost from £1,200 for a full arch, which is just under half of what you would pay for implant-secured dentures. In comparison, traditional dentures rely on suction or dental adhesives to stay in place, whereas implants act as artificial tooth roots.

Patients opting for implant dentures can rely on the stability and security they offer over conventional types, so you won’t have to worry about accidents, slippage, or sores. The only similarity is that implant-retained dentures are removable; they snap in and out of the implants for cleaning and sleeping. They are not dentures you can wear all the time.
