The benefits of full mouth implants

The recommended full mouth system is All-on-4

Full mouth dental implants

The All-on-4 dental implant technique uses just four implants to support a full arch of replacement teeth. The implants are strategically placed in areas of the jawbone with the most bone density for maximum stability and strength.

A customised bridge is fixed to the implants to achieve a secure and stable replacement for a full arch of teeth. Learn more.

All-on-4 implants are strategically placed, so bone grafting or other complex procedures aren’t needed. This makes the dental implant procedure quicker and more comfortable for patients and greatly improves the overall success rate.

In fact, All-on-4 treatment at MyoDental Weybridge can be completed in just a few hours, in a single appointment so you can leave our practice with a new smile the same day!

YOUR ALL-ON-4 TREATMENT JOURNEY

Are you missing a tooth or dealing with an unrestorable broken tooth? Dental implants can be your ticket to a brand-new, confident smile. In this easy-to-follow guide, we’ll take you through the simple step-by-step process of replacing a missing or broken tooth with a dental implant.

Intro Image

MyoDental consultation

The process begins with an initial consultation with our experienced implant dentist, Dr Ali Rifai. During this visit, we will assess your oral health, take necessary X-rays and cone beam CT scans, discuss your goals, and create a customised treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

1

Preparing for surgery

On the day of the procedure, you will receive local anaesthesia and IV sedation by our on-site consultant anaesthetist to ensure optimal comfort throughout the surgery.

2

Implant placement

Dr Ali Rifai will strategically insert four dental implants into the jawbone. Two implants are placed vertically in the front, while two are angled at the back. This arrangement provides maximum support and stability for your new set of teeth.

3

Temporary prosthesis

In most cases, a temporary prosthetic set of teeth is attached to the implants immediately after placement. Our on-site lab technician will design and manufacture the teeth to ensure they fit well within the mouth. This allows patients to have functional teeth on the same day, making it a same-day teeth replacement procedure.

4

Healing and osseointegration

Over the next few months, the dental implants will bond with the jawbone in a process called osseointegration — ensuring a strong foundation for the permanent prosthesis.

5

Final prosthesis

After the implants have successfully integrated with the bone, a permanent, customised set of teeth is affixed to the implants. This prosthesis is designed to look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Long-term prostheses are either made with acrylic or zirconia supported on a titanium bar.

Frequently asked questions about All-on-4 dental implants at MyoDental

Traditional dental implants usually require an implant for each missing tooth. All-on-4 implants, on the other hand, use only four implants to support an entire arch of replacement teeth. All-on-4 implants can often be placed in a single appointment, so patients can leave with a full set of replacement teeth in just one day, hence the treatment is sometimes called Same-Day Teeth, or Teeth In A Day.

Patients generally report experiencing minimal discomfort during the dental implant procedure. Our dentists at MyoDental Weybridge use a local anaesthetic to numb the area being treated, to maximise your comfort. We also offer sedation options for an additional fee.

With the right care, your All-on-4 dental implants can last a lifetime. Regular dental check-ups at your Weybridge clinic and good oral hygiene habits are essential for maintaining the implant’s health.

Not everyone is suitable for All-on-4 dental implants. You need to have sufficient bone density and healthy gums to support the implant. Our dentists will assess your teeth and work with you to find a suitable solution, during an initial consultation here in Weybridge.
