Modern denture solutions

Dentures are a traditional, noninvasive solution for replacing missing teeth quickly (often within a few weeks).

Even with the emergence of dental implants for missing teeth, we understand that some patients still want to opt for removable dentures, whether it be for budgetary needs or because the procedure is not as scary, as it requires no surgical treatment or injections—just a few impressions.

Over the years, dentures have advanced slightly, providing more precise fits with solutions like Cobalt Chrome dentures, which use metal clasps to keep the dentures from slipping out of place.

However, dentures cannot help the effects of tooth loss over time, which causes the gums and bone in your jaw to shrink.

This shrinkage causes the dentures to become loose-fitting, which means you’ll frequently need to replace them throughout your lifetime.

It is common for dentures to affect your speech initially, but most patients adjust to wearing dentures over time, and their speech becomes clearer.

No. We recommend that you remove your dentures when sleeping to allow the gums to rest and prevent gum irritation or infection.

At first, it can feel strange wearing dentures. Most patients initially find it takes time to sit the denture comfortably on their gums, and there may be some soreness or difficulty getting used to eating or speaking clearly.

However, after 4 weeks, most patients forget they are wearing their dentures and simply love that they can eat, chew, talk, and smile with confidence.

After a few weeks, MyoDental can easily make adjustments to your dentures to improve the fit if required.
