Faster versions of Invisalign, like Invisalign Express and Lite only treat relapse and cosmetic concerns, and as a result, use fewer aligners, which is why it’s a cheaper treatment.
Less time and fewer aligners = cheaper treatment
More extensive versions of Invisalign, like Invisalign Comprehensive (formerly Invisalign Full), use an unlimited number of aligners and refinements to treat severe bite problems, making them the most expensive option.
If when you’ve completed your treatment and some refinements need to be made to improve the results, free complementary aligners can be ordered. For example, with Invisalign Comprehensive, we offer unlimited refinements included at no extra cost. Other types of Invisalign we offer, like Invisalign Lite, also come with free refinements.
Also included at no extra charge in our Invisalign package are fixed or removable retainers too. Some patients prefer fixed retainers, as they consist of a thin metal wire that is fixed behind your front teeth to prevent them from orthodontic relapse. They’re out of the way, unobtrusive and easy to care for – you won’t even know its there. Other alternatives include Vivera retainers, which are Invisalign’s own brand of removable retainers that are 30% stronger than competing materials. You’ll need to wear them every night for the first year (and ideally forever).

Invisalign costs might not cover the additional dental treatments or hygiene appointments needed. Patients must have healthy gums and teeth before their orthodontic treatment, so if you haven’t visited the dentist within six months, it might be best to book a check-up and a clean first. Replacement aligners are also not included in your cost if you lose a set.
